Each retreat runs from Friday evening through noon on Sunday. The opening night includes a wine tasting and reception, introductory presentation, and discussion. Mornings both begin with early bird (optional) yoga sun salutations, followed by hands-on personal futures workshop sessions. Second day afternoon workshops are followed in the mid afternoon and evening by “personal time” for spa, massage, or hot springs excursions in the area. A spa package will be available to workshop participants in combination with lodging, and can be arranged directly through the resort. The Gateway workshop features an optional hike on Sunday that overlooks the valley.
Christopher is a professional futurist and workshop leader with thirty years experience in the futures studies and foresight field. He has taught in both futures programs at the University of Hawaii and the University of Houston and is a former Secretary-General of the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF) from 2001-2005. He is currently a WFSF Fellow, member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF), and Contributing Faculty, School of Public Policy and Administration of Walden University. Deborah has over thirty years experience in the field of medicine, including experience in head trauma, psychiatric, and orthopedic nursing, and over a decade in therapeutic massage, therapeutic touch, and integrative health modalities. She is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, International Therapeutic Touch Association, and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Both are Iyengar yoga teachers in their Grand Junction studio.
